Remembered Today:

"Briish Troops" with ANZAC/CEF

Was at a funeral yesterday, and noticed on war memorial in churchyard a name of one of the village lads who was with the AIF. Being otherwise occupied I didn't note his name. Just wondered who many "English" served with AIF etc. Presumably he had emigrated and joined up overseas. Its something I have noticed on a few memorials, I know it was up to the parish who's names were engraved. Will post his details when I get a chance.

The short answer is plenty. I think there was an approximate percentage worked out by someone at one time. Am sure some of the other Aussies can help.
