Chris Boonzaier Posted 22 March , 2005 Share Posted 22 March , 2005 Does the following mean anything to anyone...from a German Military pass book. "Sap attack against the Broodseinde heights" November 1914, and is there any online info about the french attack at Kortekeer on the 17th December 1914? Thanks for any help on this All the best Chris
AOK4 Posted 23 March , 2005 Share Posted 23 March , 2005 Hello Chris, Broodseinde was the scene of heavy trench and mine fighting from november 1914 to May 1915. Quite a lot of the units of the XXVII. Reservekorps were involved in this. The French attack at Kortekeer should be seen in the light of quite a few French attacks at this time, IIRC to try to distract the Germans from their attack in the Champagne (I should look that up).
