Remembered Today:

Are (Massage) Staff Lists available for Heaton Park?

My interest, Winifred Letts, wrote in a March 1918 letter that she was working in Manchester in a Military Massage Camp. Would that be Heaton Park or were there other such camps in Manchester at that date?  Letts was a qualified masseuse and  member of the Incorporated Society of Trained Masseuses.

I managed to get an amazing list of Assistant Nurses, Military Probationers and VAD Nursing Members who worked in 2nd Western General Hospital, Manchester from the National Archives relating to her 1915-1916 stint - I was hoping someone might know of similar for Heaton Park?

Thanks very much

Edited to add: Was Heaton Park the official name of this camp or had it a 'more' official name?

The following Masseuses were 'brought to the notice of the Secretary of State for War' whilst serving at Heaton Park Command Depot. Their names were mentioned in 'The Times' newspaper on the dates shown;-

Miss M.G. Grey 22/10/1917 {Probably Miss Mary Greig Grey}

Miss D.W. Johnson 22/10/1917 {Probably Miss Dorothy Winifred AJohnson}

Mrs E. Pixton 23/10/1917 {Probably Mrs Ethel Pixton}

In addition, the British Red Cross records include Miss Beatrice Anwyl Parsingham.
