Rededication Services announced for May 2022

Tuesday 17 May

Rededication service for Lieutenant Frederic Hornby Lever Rushton, 2nd Bn. Royal Irish Regiment and  killed in action on 15 September 1914.  will be held at CWGC’s Montcornet Military Cemetery.

Wednesday 18 May

Rededication service for Private John Roberts, North Irish Horse and killed in action on 21 August 1918 will be held at CWGC’s Queens Cemetery, Bucquoy, France.

Thursday 19 May

Rededication service for Captain Hugh Mortimer Travers, 5th Bn. Royal Munster Fusiliers and attended 2nd Bn. Duke of Wellington’s (West Riding Regiment) and killed in action on 8 November 1914, will be held at CWGC’s New Irish Farm Cemetery, Ypres.

Rededication service for Serjeant Frederick Cardy, 7th/8th Bn. Royal Irish Fusiliers and killed in action between 11 and 12 August 1917. will be held at CWGC’s White House Cemetery, Belgium.

1030 hrs at Loos British Cemetery. A Burial Service for:

Pte William Johnston, Royal Scots Fusiliers, killed in action 26 September 1915 and

An Unknown Soldier of the East Yorkshire Regiment, killed in action 26 September 1915.

27 May 2022

1300 hrs at Esquelbecq Military Cemetery, France. A Rededication Service for Second Lieutenant Piers Richard Edgcumbe of Royal Armoured Corps. Killed in action 27 May 1940
