Jude Gibson Posted 23 March , 2022 Share Posted 23 March , 2022 Strictly speaking, this is not Great War material but it shows the gravestone of Private Joseph Ward V.C. which is located in a small graveyard in Longford, Ireland. He was awarded the V.C. for action at Gwalior, India in 1858, when, as a member of the King’s Royal Irish, he captured enemy cannon while under intense fire.
