Admin Michelle Young Posted 10 March , 2022 Admin Share Posted 10 March , 2022 Welcome to the forum. His name, date of birth and any other biographical details would be a good place to start.
Admin Michelle Young Posted 14 March , 2022 Admin Share Posted 14 March , 2022 If @Agnes is unwilling to share this basic information, there’s no way the forum can help. If he was in the army, the Long Long Trail website can help, but as the post is in Sailors, I assume, he was naval.
Lawryleslie Posted 16 March , 2022 Share Posted 16 March , 2022 @Agnes if you want to research yourself then I would advise trying the National Archive Website which is free at present. You just need to set up an account. If he was killed in action then the Commonwealth War Graves website can be useful and is also free to use and download documents. You could also join a genealogy research website such as Ancestry.com but these are costly. Although your local library may have free access to genealogy websites. If you post his details as @Michellehas suggested you will quickly learn about his service history.
