Kath Posted 7 March , 2022 Share Posted 7 March , 2022 Gloucestershire Between the Wars: a memoir. Chapters 3 to 6 deal with Bullock's experiences at war. He tried to join up when 16, but of course was underage. He writes: " I was often being insulted in the street by passing soldiers holding out their rifles to me or people asking me why I was not in the Army - all because I was rather big for my age." His account of Army life after he was allowed to join up (age 18 & 1 month) is very interesting and includes his amateur but capable sketches. Kath.
