Rafael Posted 6 February , 2022 Author Share Posted 6 February , 2022 Dear Charlie, Thank you very much! Now I understand, why I can not find anything about these regiments when they were fighting in Poland in 1914 and 1915. By any chance, do you know any links to any literature about them? Kind regards, Rafael

There isn‘t a history for LIR4 Johannes Schurig, Richard Kötzschke: "Die Königlich Sächsischen Landwehr-Infanterie-Regimenter Nr. 101 und Nr. 103", Erinnerungsblätter Sachen Bd. 21 Teil: 1/1 Übersicht und Skizzenheft, 1925 Dresden, Baensch-Stifftung, 21 Seiten. That's not a regimental history of LIR 76. There is none as far as I know.

Thank you Jan, I obviously do GenWiki records "Landwehr-Infanterie-Regiment 76 im Weltkriege." Holsten, Heinrich. Unter Mitarbeit von Wilhelm Borchers, Johann Junge und Hans Raspe. Druck R. Stelzer; Stade 1938. Das Buch hat 400 Seiten, davon im Anhang auf 45 Seiten eine Verlustliste / Ehrentafel. Hier werden außer den Daten zum Tod auch Geburtsdatum und -ort genannt. Patrick appears to have one for sale https://military-books.lima-city.de/hp22/076.html I am now confused Charlie

I'll have to add it to a next order from Patrick then. I don't have Eike Mohr's more recent bibliography though, but there obviously is a regimental history. There are a few that had escaped Eike Mohr's attention. Jan
Rafael Posted 14 February , 2022 Author Share Posted 14 February , 2022 Dear Charlie or Jan, Can you please help me to identify to which LIR division belonged to the 6 LIR Bragiade ? I can see it involvment in fight near Witynie, Nadbory, Pluty Rogowo (now Pluty) near river Biebrza in February 1915, but I can not identify the division. The same I have a problem to allocate 34 LIR. It looks like the 34 LIR was in this enigma (for me) 6 LIR Brigade. Kind regards, Rafael
