PFF Posted 16 March , 2005 Share Posted 16 March , 2005 Whenever possible try to crosscheck research by using different sources. Personal example-in BJBOH (British Jewry Book of Honour) Roll of Honour and regimental lists there was one man listed as died-wth two varations of his service number and three varations of his name-plus listing him twice with no battalion listed and once under a battalion listing. Under none of the surnames was he listed in CWGC Debt of Honour Register-it was only by accident that I found his him listed on the CWGC and then only under a total different surname-(his father's surname was the same as in the BJBOH) Moral-cross check research whenever possible!!!
