potty5 Posted 28 January , 2022 Share Posted 28 January , 2022 Hi all, just a quick question. I have a chap on the local war memorial who was serving onboard his ship when war was declared on August 4, 1914. He was in the Royal Naval Sick Berth Reserve and stayed aboard his ship until it was sunk in 1915. What would his medal entitlement be then please??? I know he would receive the British War Medal and Victory medal, but what star would he be awarded?? Many thanks, Mark.
horatio2 Posted 28 January , 2022 Share Posted 28 January , 2022 1914-15 Star. A name would help to confirm.

horatio2 Posted 28 January , 2022 Share Posted 28 January , 2022 (edited) The Admiralty Medal Roll confirms that he qualified for the 1914-15 Star trio of medals, which were claimed by and issued to his mother post-war.
