Does anyone know the whereabouts of the BWM & VM that were issued to 448654 A/Sgt, later Lieut., Joseph Francis Xavier Delisle? He served with the 22nd Bn, CEF in France. His great granddaughter would like to locate them. Thank you.

All the best,

Gary

Hi,

Leave a "Comment" on Ancestry . can't find any other references to his medals other than below. but plenty of other info.

CEF (Jos.F.X.Delisle)  Records show he was with the 57th Bn. 448654. then transferred to 22nd Bn. LT. and was awarded the Brit and Vic. medals. The question is did he claim them ?

Thank you for your replies. There is a notice on the BMF webpage. I will look into Medal News for a longer term search if nothing turns up sooner. I will leave a comment on Ancestry. His medals were sent to him. His great granddaughter, who wishes to locate his medals, doesn’t know when they left the family. As he served with the 22nd Bn, CEF in France, she is going to contact the R22eR museum in the Citadel, Quebec City.

All the best,

Gary
