Kath Posted 20 January , 2022 Share Posted 20 January , 2022 Is the date in this record the day a man was wounded? Thanks to Ancestry.War Diaries (Gallipoli and Dardanelles), 1914-1916 Piece 4298: 11th (Northern) Division: 6 Battalion East Yorkshire Regiment (Pioneers) (1915 Jul-Dec)
alantwo Posted 20 January , 2022 Share Posted 20 January , 2022 Hi Kath Sorry to muddy the waters, No.6854 C Tysoe was admitted to HMHS Assaye on 8th September with a fever. Regards Alan
TEW Posted 20 January , 2022 Share Posted 20 January , 2022 I've seen batches of these forms before and they were all done on a weekly basis, usually at the end of the week. This one is a Saturday so seems to fit that scenario. I'd say the dates beside each man must be on or the following day of his injury. TEW
