Michael Lowrey Posted 16 March , 2005 Share Posted 16 March , 2005 John, There was an EMPRESS OF FORT WILLIAM which sank on an U-boat laid mine 2 miles south of the Dover Pier on February 27, 1916. Best wishes, Michael

Guest sapper9321 Posted 16 March , 2005 Share Posted 16 March , 2005 Hello Michael and Don.Thanks for reply. The information I did not add it as follows, the crew were rescured by an American ship and taken to America where he ended up in a seamans mission. Is there anything sounding similar i.e Port.William/Talbot or Fort William/Talbot. Is there anywhere I could look. Thanks for your time and help. Regards John.
