Morning

I recently bought a BWM and SWB to the following DVR in the R.A but I can`t find out about the unit he was discharged from. It seems the BWM was his only entitlement and it came with his boxed SWB.

His name was Harry Brown, service number 161189 , DVR R.A.  I have his his medal card confirming sole entitlement, medal entitlement sheet, ( discharged sickness - PU in 1917 ) and his SWB Form, badge 232486 but his unit is down as R.A Depot Belgam. He didn`t serve abroad so this has me stuck. Any info on R.A Depot Belgam much appreciated ( and anything further on Harry Brown ) Thanks all

Thanks for the reply Charlie, I did come across Belgaum whilst looking but discounted it as his SWB Form said only home service, perhaps being garrisoned there counted as "home service" . It certainly seems to make sense now though and with him only having the BWM too I guess that would tie in with an Indian posting in WW1. Appreciate your help, cheers !
