Would i be correct in saying that the 13th Battalion Lan Fus remained in the UK throughout the war, any info on the 13th would be much appreciated.

That didn't quite sound right, what i was trying to say was were the 13th Bn Lan Fus former regular soldiers.

My couson has just found out that her husband's grandfather served with the 13th Lan Fus, would those who were serving with the 13th have stayed with them throughout the war, like a home guard?, or is it possible that some may have been transfered to another Bn who were serving overseas ?

No, the 13th wasnt made up of regulars. According to the mother site, it was formed as a service battalion but then became a reserve unit. Phone call to Tony at the LF Museum should get you all the info you need.

But you would have encountered regulars within the battalion at some point throughout the war. These could possibly be wounded soldiers working their way back to fitness to rejoin their active service battalions overseas or even training staff (probably those who were no longer fit for service overseas for whatever reason).

Dave.
