Pte 20678 Edward Doran enlisted in the Borders on 28/08/1915. He was discharged unfit from 3rd Bn on 31/12/1915 with pension for chronic bronchitis aggravated by service. Edward died from bronchitis, emphysema & cardiac dilation (WFA Card) on 29/06/1920, aged 39. Husband of Elizabeth Ann Doran of 36 Lostock Road, Oldham Road, Manchester. Burial not known. Married in a Catholic Church so prob St Joseph’s Moston.

I have strict orders (from the highest level) to stick with Manchester Regiment non-com DCs.  If there is a Border Regiment researcher who would like to take up the case, you would be very welcome.
