He was discharged unfit from 3rd Bn on 31/12/1915 with pension for chronic bronchitis aggravated by service. Edward died from bronchitis, emphysema & cardiac dilation (WFA Card) on 29/06/1920, aged 39. Husband of Elizabeth Ann Doran of 36 Lostock Road, Oldham Road, Manchester. Burial not known. Married in a Catholic Church so prob St Joseph’s Moston. I have strict orders (from the highest level) to stick with Manchester Regiment non-com DCs.
