Nurse Mildred Borebank

Having come across this photograph of Mildred I believe she was the daughter of Isaac and Emily Borebank. Mildred appears on the 1911 Census as an Asylum Nurse.00C8C61F-2733-4699-AF1A-E12F8C984B49.png.4c5a8cccba2ed9b9a7c335a34495b910.pngee

Mildred also has a Pension Record Card which struck me as being unusual (?)

There was provision for pensions to nurses - it's not been well explored though amongst the WFA records.

It's about the only part of the pension stuff I haven't really looked at.

Hi All

To access the part of the records that contain nurses just use the 'browse' function, and this file path then use the search box which will isolate the search to this sub-set of cards >>>

Thank you David. Have these references been transcribed as yet. Just had a look and found it very absorbing to cross check some of the names with the Red Cross Records. Will post a couple of finds.
