Admin RussT Posted 2 January , 2022 Admin Share Posted 2 January , 2022 The nearest CCS was the No 1 Canadian CCS stationed at Oosthoek. The 24th CCS & the 39th CCS were co-located with the No 1 Canadian CCS but those two units were not quite operational on the 2nd August 1917. Ambulance trains were running fairly regularly from Adinkerke (near Oosthoek) to Base Hospitals in France during this time - and this is where severe casualties (including gas casualties) would be evacuated in the first instance. Do you have any specifically-named casualty in mind? Regards Russ
