RogerWill Posted 31 December , 2021 Share Posted 31 December , 2021 I am trying to decypher the signature of the Medical Officer who signed the attached form, documenting 2 Lieut JR Taylor's admission to Craiglockhart. Looks like: 'Arthur _ _ _ _ _, MO, Bowhill'. Bowhill has an Auxiliary Hospital linked to Craiglockhart. Any help gratefully received. Anne McLintic Smith Posted 31 December , 2021 Share Posted 31 December , 2021 I want to say "Brock" since he was one of the chief medical officers there but it doesn't look like Brock. I would agree with "Arthur" - almost wondered if it was "McLean" afterwards.
RogerWill Posted 31 December , 2021 Author Share Posted 31 December , 2021 Hi Annie. Its not Brock, I've seen his signature. And I can't see a 'McLean' candidate on the Medical Directory for the period. Its stereotypical doctors bad handwriting!

RogerWill Posted 31 December , 2021 Author Share Posted 31 December , 2021 I've just found another document in the same series, with the surname 'corrected' ; it is 'Wilson'. Thanks everybody for looking. Happy New Year Roger
