shinglma Posted 14 March , 2005 Share Posted 14 March , 2005 Does anyone know of a bar in Ypres with a pool table. My companions would like to play pool and it would give me great pleasure beating them! Mike S
ypresman Posted 14 March , 2005 Share Posted 14 March , 2005 Hi Try the 'Old Bill' just off the main square. It has pool tables in the rear, away from the front of the bar(its like a seperate room). I think it had about 3 tables last time I looked. Can't remember the address, but I'm sure you will find it on an earlier thread.

CROONAERT Posted 15 March , 2005 Share Posted 15 March , 2005 If you want to play pool against the locals in a "Pool hall" atmosphere, try one of the bars (I've forgotten it's name) on Stationstraat. it's pretty much a "local", but I've never felt out of place there (though I haven't been in for a few years now - my wife thinks it looks a bit "rough"!!! ). It's got (or at least, it had) 4 or 5 tables. You can't miss it. It advertises 8 ball and usually has a few mopeds parked outside (it's not far from where John "Shellhole" Woolsgrove's shop used to be, if that's any help). Dave. LizM Posted 15 March , 2005 Share Posted 15 March , 2005 There is a snooker/pool place at the back of the Ariane Hotel. It is on the corner of Adjudant Masscheleinstraat and Maarschalk Plumerlaan. Liz
