Skipman Posted 14 December , 2021 Share Posted 14 December , 2021 This is Geoff's Christmas Tree, Geoff of Great War Engine fame. I keep in touch and he just happened to send me this and I thought it would be nice to share it with you. It's a cracking concept and maybe others can try emulate. It's his entry in his local church tree festival and a Picea Pungens "Edith" is decorated with medal ribbons from 1914-1960. 26 ribbons strips were used, two hangers cut from each ribbons were "cauterised" with a soldering iron to prevent fraying, the ribbons kindly donated by Worcestershire Medal Service Ltd, Bromsgrove, who do a splendid job of mounting medals and ribbons and supplying replacement medals. The exhibition is at St Michael's and All Angels, Church, Stoke Prior, Worcesteshire. Open til 2 Jan 2022 Votes for Geoff's tree most welcome (voting box in church!) Cheers Mike
