IPT Posted 2 December , 2021 Share Posted 2 December , 2021 He has three medical entries on FindmyPast. Apparently, he was Alexander Mackintosh, born 1896.
Ivor Anderson Posted 3 December , 2021 Share Posted 3 December , 2021 (edited) Hi Julian, The 28th Jan 1918 LG has awards for Passchendaele in October 1917. I think his MM may have been for the attack NE of Poelcappelle recorded in the WD on 26th October 1917. The Bn. was reduced to 4 officers and c.224 ORs in the attack. Coldstreamer Posted 3 December , 2021 Share Posted 3 December , 2021 Worth checking local papers too That’s assuming you know where he lived
charlie962 Posted 3 December , 2021 Share Posted 3 December , 2021 (edited) 11 minutes ago, Coldstreamer said: That’s assuming you know where he lived His wounding noted in the CasList of 1/12/17 (suggesting actual wounding end Oct 1917 and thus probably same event as his MM -26th Oct mention by Ivor looks good) says he was from Hoxton, N. And IPT's note re HospAdmits suggests same event. Edited 3 December , 2021 by charlie962
