Guest fairytopia Posted 13 March , 2005 Share Posted 13 March , 2005 Hello, I know its a long shot, but did anyone know or know of Private Fred Haycroft? He was in the York and Lancs, maybe he was in the Barnsley pals. I know he lost an arm but I don't know how or where. I would very much like to find out these details as I'm trying to piece together my husbands family history. Fred was my husbands Great Grandfather. Thanks, Lisa. Guest fairytopia Posted 14 March , 2005 Share Posted 14 March , 2005 Thanks for this Chris, I already have a copy of his medal card and it doesn't tell me a great deal. Still trying to fathom this site. Lisa
chris.wight Posted 14 March , 2005 Share Posted 14 March , 2005 Welcome to the Forum, Lisa! You could upload a copy of the M.I.C. and let others help explain it. You can also see a section on "The Long, Long Trail" called "Interpreting Campaign Medal Index Cards" put up by Chris Baker, link.
Guest fairytopia Posted 14 March , 2005 Share Posted 14 March , 2005 Thanks Chris, I've looked on the link you suggested but there is not a lot on the card to go by. Thanks, Lisa
