Does anyone have any further details about this memorial, due to be unveiled in 2005 according to the Holt's 'Western Front-North' book?

The memorial is a joint venture between Wadhurs school and the village of Aubers. I haven't heard anything new for some time, but as far as I know something is planned for the anniversary this year. Presumably a ceremony in the village. These men actually died close to the Cinder Track, in the commune of Richebourg l'Avoue, so this memorial will be some distance from where they died. The men are all commemorated on the Le Touret Memorial.

The people of Wardhurst have their own site that may offer some details. This is a talk by the chaiman of the historical society.

I wrote to him at Michael Harte [webs@greenman.demon.co.uk]
