stripeyman Posted 16 October , 2021 Share Posted 16 October , 2021 Another photo for sale on eBay should you wish to purchase. However a good one showing German soldiers on narrow barges being towed by a motorised one. Anyone know more or where it is ?
andrew pugh Posted 16 October , 2021 Share Posted 16 October , 2021 Hi All Could it be the long tunnel on the Canal Du Nord? or the Blissworth tunnel on the Grand Union 1916 European regatta. Only joking. Like I said it could be on the Canal Du Nord there is a really long tunnel that comes out southern portal near Lechelle. the Northern portal is near Bertincourt? I'm only guessing I don't know how many tunnels .are on the French canal system. Regards Andy

andrew pugh Posted 16 October , 2021 Share Posted 16 October , 2021 Sorry to keep doing this but I am looking on the internet at tunnel portals on the French canal system. There is a picture of the tunnel and bridge at Riqueval the stonework on the foot path on the right side of the portal slopes down the same as the photograph you presented in your thread.
