Having previously been named on Tower Hill Memorial, I have located the grave of the above named man.

He is buried in plot G.E.5 in Cleethorpes Cemetery

What an interesting find. Will you now contact the CWGC?

Wonder if there were any newspaper reports at the time.

Also a reference here...

Hopefully Chris Harley will see this soon. If no reply or contact, I will message him. Ive also submitted another one on WW2 Talk that I have also found in Cleethorpes Cemetery.

Thank you for reference George.

As John is already commemorated a message to CWGC with from Register details as above should suffice as it’s just a matter of updating record. Any idea If there is a headstone, if not they may/should provide one in due course.

Yes I was going to mention about him too. There was a piece in the Newspaper Archive mentioning that.

I'm guessing he would have been buried somewhere near Jarrow

Excellent, even though there was no mention of Hurrells body even being found, its good to know he has also been located. Just Kane to locate now? Any fingers in pies for him?
