Circular Memoranda issued by Director General Medical Services

Good morning all,

As part of my search efforts in locating CDS/SS Pamphlets I have come across a few Memoranda issued by the Director General Medical Services (DGMS) in the BEF.  Some of these have also been issued as CDS/SS pamphlets, but there are more out there I have not been able to locate.  I've seen numbers up to 22, but I'm hoping that other members of this forum may have leads on where more can be found.  I've been through the DGMS war diaries for GHQ and the DDMS for the lines of communications but haven't had much joy.  I've also been through many of the ADMS for the divisions and some of the Army DMS but haven't had much luck. Search strings with DGMS circular Memorandum turn up little, and I suspect many are indexed by their title rather than memorandum No or DGMS.

The memoranda I've been able to find are below:

No 6.  Principles of treatment of wounded before evacuation WO 95/3977/7

No 8. The Abolition of Flies in Camps, Billets and Hospitals May 1915

https://www.awm.gov.au/collection/C2801324

Also re-issued May 1916 and Mar 1917

No 9 Prevention of Typhoid Fever [Also SS 497]

No. 14 Acting Promotions, Non-Commissioned Officers, R.A.M.C. WO 95/3979/2

No. 16 Preventative measures against lice (revised) [Also SS 455] copy obtained through Australian War Memorial (AWM) issued Jul 1916 and Aug 1918

No. 19 No 19. Observations in regard to procure in dealing with contacts of certain infectious diseases

No 22 Acting Appointments, Warrant Officers, Class 1, And Non-Commissioned Officers, Royal Army Medical Corps [Also SS 530B]  Mentions Memoranda Nos 13 [acting lance appointments and 20 [that it is cancelled]

If anyone can help fill in the gaps in numbering or, even better, has a line on a source of these memoranda it would be greatly appreciated.

As an addendum, No. 8 Abolition of Flies was later SS 344. The link you provide shows the early version of seven pages, later versions were about 16, of which the AWM has multiple copies.

cheers,
