Does anyone know what the following might mean when written in the "Means of Identification Column"?

“copper”, “copper pl”, “copper plate”

Thankyou

I wonder if they identified the person buried because the original grave had his name on a copper plate?

I agree that it should mean "copper plate". I assume that some graves were marked using a small copper plate in which the personal information was struck. This way of marking graves was a lot more resistent to external factors (weather, fire, ...) than painting a name on a wooden marker or strike/carve the letters into wood. Copper is also more resistant against becoming unreadable compared to other metals like iron or aluminium.
