Skipman Posted 4 August , 2021 Share Posted 4 August , 2021 I'm trying to locate the WO reference for Lieutenant-Colonel John Wylie, 1/6th Black Watch but can't see it. Can anyone find it? British Army Officers of the First World War Mike
MaxD Posted 4 August , 2021 Share Posted 4 August , 2021 The dates on his card might suggest he was serving after the end of the war. There are two officer John Wylie's on the lists of records still held by MOD, dates of birth 04 07 1888 and 02 02 1891 - is he either of these perhaps? Skipman Posted 4 August , 2021 Author Share Posted 4 August , 2021 That's possible. He wasn't serving in France having 'done his bit' 2 years front line, granted leave of absence. He was born on the 28th of August, 1879. Mike
