charlie962 Posted 30 July , 2021 Posted 30 July , 2021 William Stanley is shown on BWM/VM Roll as 1/8th Middlesex then 20th Middlesex. So ALBERT NEWEY is your man ?

The pension index card for Albert NEWEY, 6193/16397, Middlesex was for a survivor - for a disability claim on transfer to the Z Reserve = Reject seems to be the outcome of the claim. Why do you think CWGC should be commemorating him? :-) M Edited 30 July , 2021 by Matlock1418 typo
battle of loos Posted 31 July , 2021 Author Posted 31 July , 2021 (edited) good morning, when I research one soldier & I have his name, I see on the CWGC if he was kill during the war. this allows for fine-tuning of searches. I only have access to medal cards and the CWGC website for my research. I do not master research in the United Kingdom. for a French soldier no problem (being French). regards michel Edited 31 July , 2021 by battle of loos
charlie962 Posted 31 July , 2021 Posted 31 July , 2021 (edited) I presume you have an object marked Middlesex and 6193 and were trying to find the owner? Do you want us to find anything more about Albert Newey ? Edited 31 July , 2021 by charlie962
battle of loos Posted 31 July , 2021 Author Posted 31 July , 2021 the searches have gone since the marking on a brush. 3MX 6193

Je comprends. C'est pareil pour moi pour poilus. Dans ce cas, il a survécu pour réclamer une pension. Salut. :-) M
