suesalter1 Posted 28 July , 2021 Share Posted 28 July , 2021 A few years ago, I was trying to help the grandfather of a Belgium lady whose accommodation I stayed in when visiting Ypres. She had no name for this soldier, just a photo taken with her grandmother, Marie Vanstteenkiste. A son, Andre, was born to Marie in November 1918 and this children was my lady's father. I have since been in correspondence with her and her husband and we are currently investigating this soldier as a possible candidate. Charles Melville Jones (see attached CWGC certificate) The clincher, of course, would be a photograph, so any help in that matter would be a help. I've tried local newspapers, but found nothing. Thanks, Sue.Company Quartermaster Serjeant Charles Melville Jones - CWGC Certificate.pdf
