Charlie Watson Posted 5 May , 2021 Share Posted 5 May , 2021 I am searching for his burial. He was accidentally shot through the heart on 24/3/1921 at Kilworth Military camp in Ireland. Does anyone know the nearest military or civilian cemetery? He is not buried at Fermoy. Kilworth is half way between Fermoy and Mitchelstown. Charlie Watson Posted 5 May , 2021 Author Share Posted 5 May , 2021 Thanks for these pieces of information, which I should have said I already had. It's his actual grave we are searching for. We are a project called 'In From The Cold' which works with the CWGC (Commonwealth War Graves Commission) to locate the as yet unknown graves of military personnel who died on active service 'at home', and are focussing on the Brookwood Memorial. Whilst his home town was Bristol, he is not buried in any of the municipal cemeteries there. Thanks for your interest. Any more ideas?
