jonbem Posted 3 May , 2021 Share Posted 3 May , 2021 Reading through he only lasted 242 days (16/10/14 to 14/6/15) before discharge, looks like flat feet and possibly dislocated ankle occrred off duty. So unable to march or walk too far. Presume never went overseas so no medal record.
rolt968 Posted 4 May , 2021 Share Posted 4 May , 2021 I can't resist asking. What was "Irregular conduct at the Mess Table" for which he was given two days CB on 2 March (or May) 1915? RM
Tawhiri Posted 4 May , 2021 Share Posted 4 May , 2021 Interesting, given his address in Plean at the time of his enlistment, the logical company for him to have been attached to was B company from Cowie, which is the same company that my 2x great uncle would have enlisted in. In his case though, he was a pre-war territorial member of the Highland Cyclist Battalion, and served with them for the entire duration of the war.
