brianmorris547 Posted 13 March , 2014 Share Posted 13 March , 2014 BarbaraAnn From 25/11/1914 to 25/11/1915 The Bolton Evening News ran a column called "Rally to the Flag" showing the names and addresses of recruits at Bolton Town Hall and the Units they had joined. This was repeated in the weekly Bolton Journal. The weeks recruits were also shown in the Bolton Chronicle. The BEN Rally to the Flag on 08/09/1915 shows one recruit to the Royal Garrison Artillery: Holden, Frank 43 Bentley St, Bolton. He had enlisted the day before (Tuesday 7th). He is also named in the weekly papers. The papers in 1915 only reported two men joining the County Palatine Royal Garrison Artillery. Frank's entry just shows "Royal Garrison Artillery".
