6th General Hospital RAMC May 1918

I have a silk postcard sent by Sergeant Gordon lemuel Dell who was based with the RAMC 6th General Hospital in WW1. On 23 May 1918 he was killed in action. 3 others were killed in action on the same day from 6th General Hospital RAMC and are buried in St Omer. They are Capt Edward John Eliot, Private John Smith, Lance Corporal Harry Farley. I have checked national archives for a war diary, looked on Ancestry, and Find My Past but was unable to find anything about the incident. It struck me as unusual that 4 men from the RAMC should be killed in action on the same day but of course I could be very wrong on that. Any ideas on where else I could look to try and find out what happened to them.
