Remembered Today:

Arras

Hi all,

During the recent IWM trip, we got around to discussing Arras and it was mentioned that there are trench remains still to be found in this area. I was given a rough location, but for the life of me can't remember where that was

I've tried to google it but, apart from the obvious ones at Vimy, came up blank. I'm thinking of making a short trip over there and I'd appreciate it if anyone could let me have any information as to the best places to find any trench lines, shell holes, etc. The more precise the information the better as I would be completely new to the area,

many thanks

There are no trench remains around Arras that are currently on land accessible to the public (i.e. they are on private land) except for the Vimy Park and the trenches at Notre Dame de Lorette which form part of the museum there.
