linge Posted 5 March , 2005 Share Posted 5 March , 2005 Sharon Just a thought you do know that the Guards records were kept separately to the other enlistment records and therefore weren't dammaged during the Blitz. The Grenadier Guards service documents are available from: The Foot Guards Manning and Records Office Wellington Barracks Birdcage Walk London SW1E 6HQ I was able to get the attestation papers for my grandfather and his brother.
