mac Posted 28 February , 2005 Share Posted 28 February , 2005 After the First World War the Royal Berkshire Regiment commissioned Petre to produce a Regimental history for the Regiment. This was completed in 1925. Vol one covered the Regiment from 1743 to 1914, and Vol 2 covered all battalions of the Regiment in the Great War. Over the years these vols proved very difficult to obtain and over the past few years have been changing hands at auction for several hundreds of pounds. I would like to draw the attention of anyone interested in the Regiment in a project by the Regimental Museum at Salisbury whereby these Vols have been reprinted and are now on sale at the Museum for a reasonable price. They are avalible on the Museum Website shop at www.thewardrobe.org or telephone 01722 419419. Happy reading. MAC
