Ottawa1880 Posted 17 December , 2020 Share Posted 17 December , 2020 This is puzzling me and I can't find answers. My grandfather was moved from the Air Ministry - where he had been working after a flying accident had sent him home from France - to the Ministry of Labour for "duty" with the Officers' University and Technical Training Classes (presumably as a student preparing him for a career after demob). His service records say OUTC (no. 6 dst.) - I can't find out what is meant by No. 6 District. Any ideas? Any help would be appreciated. He was with OUTC for five months (13.2.1918 - 13.7.1918). Bordercollie Posted 17 December , 2020 Share Posted 17 December , 2020 No.6 District was part of the regional command structure and was subordinate to Northern Command. The district comprised the counties of Lincolnshire, Leicestershire, Rutland, Staffordshire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. I think the only Senior Division OTC contingent in the District was that of Nottingham University College.
