2^nd Bn, West India Regiment

Died 29.02.16  Age 22

Commemorated: Freetown Memorial, Sierra Leone

 

McLEISH, Arnold

Private 5421

2^nd Bn, West India Regiment

Died 07.06.17  Age 29

Commemorated: Dar es Salaam British and Indian Memorial, Tanzania

 

VASSELL, Joseph Simon

Private 6420

2^nd Bn, West India Regiment

Died 31.07.17  Age 25

The above casualties were In From the Cold Project cases. (Volunteer for all: Deborah Crawford)

 

- Pte Henry committed suicide by shooting in Sierra Leone

- Pte Jones died of fever in Cameroons

- Pte McClacken died during an operation in hospital in Sierra Leone

- Pte McLeish died of blackwater fever in East Africa

- Pte Vassell died of blackwater fever in East Africa
