Mates,

This grave shows

Mendelsohn Gerhard     Kanonier    Schallmesstr. 44    1917-18    (1893 at Eisleben DoD 21-10-18) died at Feld Lazarett 218 near Derat-Nazareth buried German military cemetery Dar'a Syria

I did wonder if it was like this officer

Pösentrup    Capt    EBSK 44/48 (Eisenbahnsonderkommando) special railroad service command - Eisenbahnbau- Sonder-Kompagnie 44/48 used on the Hedschasbahn (Hedjaz Railway) (not identified)?

and

Wegscheider Hans Anton     Capt    L.Feldhaub.lehrb. 10.bayr. Feld.-Art.-Rgt.    1916-17    (1882 at Augsburg DoD 13-5-17) Fleckfieber (typhus) Krankheit (illness) listed on Memorial at Evangelischer Cemetery Damascus

Any ideas?

Cheers
