Moonraker Posted 17 November , 2020 Share Posted 17 November , 2020 (edited) I came across this book by accident and I don't think it's been mentioned before here on the GWF. Indeed I'm not sure that we've ever referred to the National Guard much. And in my "military Wiltshire" notes I have only one reference, to the Trowbridge company of National Guard in camp at Bratton in August 1915. "Modern" copies are available from Amazon. Guest Posted 17 November , 2020 Share Posted 17 November , 2020 By sheer chance, I was looking at this book this afternoon online-a local casualty may have served in it part-time after leaving school and before he joined the RNAS. It is prdominantly London centered. It is also available from archive.org- the copy from University of California Libraries is a lot easier to use. And it's free.......
