Not been able to find much on HMS Poppy but here is what I've got........

HMS Poppy was a 1250 tonne Flower class, Arabis type sloop, built by Swan Hunter. The ship was launched on 9th November 1915. It was used on Patrol & Minesweeping duties & was sold after its war service in April 1923.

All the Flower class ships were built under the Emergency War programme. In addition as being known as the Flower Class, they were also referred to as the Cabbage Class or Herbaceous Borders. They were built with a triple hull at the bow end to give extra protection against loss when working up mines.
