Mates,

Can you confirm who this German General is?

I found two officers by that name with different details but which is him?

Wahle or Wehrle or Werle Friedrich Otto    LtCol (Gen-Maj)     CO of heavy artillary at Erenköy on Anatolian part - Agir Topçu Birlikleri Basmüfettisi (Heavy Artillery Officer Associations Chief Inspector)    unknown    (1851 - 1943) from Fuss school

Wahle or Wehrle or Werle Hugo or Heinrich     Maj (LtCol) to (Gen-Maj)     Deutsche Militär-Mission in der Türkei - CO of 8th heavy artillary at Erenköy on Anatolian part - Agir Topçu Birlikleri Basmüfettisi (Heavy Artillery Officer Associations Chief Inspector)    1914-18    (1866 - 1949) 1912-1914 Kom. d. II./Lehr R. d. Fußart. Schießsch. (Jüterbog) to 1914 Leiter d. Sch. f. schwere Artillerie (Istanbul) 1914-1915 Kom. d. (osm.) 8. Schw. Art. Regt (Ottoman 8th Heavy FAR) to 00.06.15 TO3 to 1917 v.d. Armee to Oberst 18-04-18

Or are there two officer by that name in Turkey?

He is shown as either Hugo or Heinrich but also as Friedrich Otto, which is correct?

I did notice that his son was also there, Wolf shows them as Wahle and the son Wehrle

Both have no first/Christian names?

Any ideas

S.B
