For those puzzled by the author's reference to Frank being in No.2 Platoon, you should be.  No.2 Platoon belonged to A Coy, while Frank (or the author Eric), belonged to No.6 Platoon of B Coy.  Eric was probably referring to the second platoon of B Coy.
