Guest Gary Davidson Posted 25 February , 2005 Share Posted 25 February , 2005 I’ve been reading a lot of really good nonfiction books about the war in the air. Now, as a change of pace, I’d like to delve into some fiction about the aerial combat of WW1. I have read WINGED VICTORY by V.M. Yeates, and while it’s a classic, its meandering, philosophical style isn’t quite what I have in mind. Any suggestions out there? Gary
DrB Posted 25 February , 2005 Share Posted 25 February , 2005 "Goshawk Squadron" and "War Story" by Derek Robinson ("A Piece of Cake" author) Certainly doesn't give the impression that it was a gentleman's war. DrB
MattyBoy Posted 25 February , 2005 Share Posted 25 February , 2005 Hi, The Blue Max by J.D. Hunter is a great read - especially as it's from the German side! Regards Matt.
