Remembered Today:

Red-bloodied, heart-pumpin’, action-packed fiction

I’ve been reading a lot of really good nonfiction books about the war in the air. Now, as a change of pace, I’d like to delve into some fiction about the aerial combat of WW1. I have read WINGED VICTORY by V.M. Yeates, and while it’s a classic, its meandering, philosophical style isn’t quite what I have in mind. Any suggestions out there?

"Goshawk Squadron" and "War Story" by Derek Robinson ("A Piece of Cake" author) Certainly doesn't give the impression that it was a gentleman's war.

Hi,

The Blue Max by J.D. Hunter is a great read - especially as it's from the German side!

Regards

Matt.
