Just picked up on this. I live less than a mile from this memorial. My Great Uncle C T Gilbert from the Washwood Heath depot is on the memorial.  Theres a fantastic book published by National Express Bus (the current bus operators in the area)- From Trams to Trenches by Douglas H Smith MBE, that has details / some photos of 233 men on the memorial. My relative - Charles Thomas Gilbert is listed as number 15 as he was killed with 2/KRRC Oct 31st 1914. Douglas is an author of local history (retired teacher at a Girls school 'next door' to the memorial grounds) and has published quite a few books on his research of WW1 & WW2 soldiers.

My family have attended November 11th ceremonies there since 2014 since discovering Charlies existence on the memorial and laid a wreath - on this photo, ours is the one on the far right....The bus company have up until recently had a service and arranged a buffet in the social club in the grounds that the memorial in the. We regularly go and pay our respects to Charlie and the others on the memorial.
