MaureenE Posted 3 October , 2020 Share Posted 3 October , 2020 There is an online version on Google Books. The catch is that to access it, you need to live in an area where the copyright restrictions are similar to USA, where this book is (or should be) in the public domain. I don't and therefore I can't access it. https://books.google.com.au/books/about/East_Persia.html?id=nhUgAAAAMAAJ If you can't access it yourself, perhaps you may have a contact who could download the digital book file and sent you the pdf, possibly by email if the file is not too big. Possibly someone on the GWF could do this for you. Cheers Maureen

ddycher Posted 5 October , 2020 Author Share Posted 5 October , 2020 (edited) Harry I am looking for details on Dickson Mission of 1920 ~ 1921. I am looking for confirmation that the mission was effectively dissolved in October 1920 when members of the commission were appointed various roles in the forces combating the Iraq Rebellion. Have a reasonable picture built up from snippets and anecdotal ref's but the working of the actual mission still vague for me. When it was reformed in November I don't believe Dickson resumed command although he was still in Tehran. I am looking for confirmation on the role he filled from Ironside's arrival until the 21st February Coup. I know Ironside had issues with him not toeing the line and I know that it was Smyth who was reconstructing the Cossacks at this point. Lots of contention re Dickson's involvement in local politics but struggling to determine his role in Tehran in this period. Was hoping this would be a defining ref. regards Dave Edited 5 October , 2020 by ddycher
