Kimberley John Lindsay Posted 1 October , 2020 Share Posted 1 October , 2020 Dear Dave, I have the medals of Major Sidney Bucklee Hauser, IARO, who was (I think) a QM with the SPR. Note his cap badge... Kindest regards, Kim.

MaureenE Posted 1 October , 2020 Share Posted 1 October , 2020 The FIBIS Fibiwik page South Persia Rifles https://wiki.fibis.org/w/South_Persia_Rifles has some online links including an online Phd Thesis South Persia Rifles by Floreeda Safiri, 1976 University of Edinburgh Phd thesis. bushfighter Posted 5 October , 2020 Share Posted 5 October , 2020 Dave The best descriptions of actions come from the regimental histories of the Indian Army units involved - and there were quite a few. If you can identify these units and and locate digitised histories then you will be getting the genuine article. But otherwise the Official History. Operations in Persia 1914-1919 is a useful guide. ddycher Posted 5 October , 2020 Author Share Posted 5 October , 2020 Many thanks Harry. Most of what I am really interested in happened 1919 ~ 1921 but I am leaning heavily on the official history to understand the structure post war.
