Very interesting arantxa

I'm glad you posted the third image which clarifies the nature of his injury as "Bullet wound thro' arm".

(In the first image it looks awfully like "Bullet wound through ar*e"  !   )

Signature bottom right of image #1 could be that of the CO whose name looks like Witsand Ransom when signing the Aug. Diary.

He was born 22.6.1888 in Michelbach, Württemberg. He had previously been wounded in the left arm at Maixe 25.8.1914. He was serving with No. 3 Coy, K.B. 13.IR.

The German casualty lists. Always presuming he had been captured recently, his regiment was in the line near Eaucourt l‘Abbaye. His Red Cross PoW is one of a large number of cards for persons with names beginning with B that are missing or for some reason have not been digitized.
